We got a good one for you if you don’t feel like you get enough of Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump impersonation from Saturday Night Live. Alec showed up to headline the Iowa Democratic Party’s Banquet recently and as you might expect, his number one request was to do ‘Trump’ for the audience.
He didn’t disappoint. First, he played the role of a “professor of Advanced Trumpology and Abnormal Psychology,” with a few short jabs at Donald and few members of his White House entourage. Then Alec said President Trump asked him to read a letter he wrote, explaining he would do his best to convey his words just as he wrote them.
That’s when Alec went “full Donald” with a performance that would easily be at home opening a Saturday Night Live episode. He managed to mix in some great Trump buffoonery with a bit of scathing commentary regarding certain other infamous Republicans as well, to the delight of the crowd.
With luck, we will soon see Alec return to his normal place opening Saturday Night Live with the hair and everything. It’d be fantastic to get one or two more good rips on the first Orange president before the new year. I’m sure there will be ample material provided by the administration to make a great skit.
